Capable of true deep-water cruising, the Grand Banks 36 Heritage CL was a sea-worthy performer that spoke in equal measure to adventure, safety and beauty.
From the very first glance, it was easy to see why this Grand Banks-built, Ken Smith-designed yacht excelled in all areas.
Handsome golden Burmese teak was liberally used both above and below deck, a Grand Banks trademark that repeated itself along the main deck, swim platform, transom boarding steps, wide-side decks, port starboard and stern boarding gates. Along the wide expanse of flybridge, you would have found teak-slat seating for six adults.
Those who boarded saw teak parquet on the cabin soles and handcrafted teak locker and drawer space, yacht table, settee, bar cabinet and helm station.
As for personal comfort, one visit below and it's easy to see why this cruiser was meant for the long-haul: the generous master stateroom came standard. For privacy and comfort, the shower stall stood alone and the adjoining toilet compartment had full headroom. The forward stateroom had a large hanging locker and plenty of storage space. Its adjoining toilet compartment had full headroom and housed both a shower and cultured-marble, built-in sink/countertop.
Owners also prized the boat's proven reputation for superior stability and all-weather dependability. As for the noise, each single or twin diesel engine was muffled thanks to special engine room insulation.
Overall, an economical operation with an abundance of style.
3 AC/Heat units (2-6k BTU & 1-12K BTU)
The vessel is entered through either Starboard or Port hinged door from the teak companionways. Directly aft of the starboard side deck door is a cabinet then an L shaped settee with a table and 2 folding leafs. There are several overhead LED lights in the salon and all the large windows, which provide a panoramic view and also open to allow good cross ventilation. The windows all have interior drapes for privacy.
Full berth with LOTS of storage to port. There are two sliding windows with drapes to port and starboard. The master stateroom head and shower is located forward to starboard of the berth. It has a head with marble sink and vanity. To port are lockers for hanging clothes.
The guest cabin is forward can sleep two adults in her V-berth. A second head with shower is aft and to starboard of the v-berth w/marble sink with vanity.
