Constructed on a beamy deep-V hull with cored hullsides and a well flared bow, the deep cockpit of the Luhrs 36 is large enough for a full-size fighting chair and came with a transom fish box, cockpit rod storage, transom door, gunnel rod holders, and a split tackle center with sink forward. The helm deck, a few steps up from the cockpit sole, can be raised hydraulically for full access to the engines. The spacious interior of the 36 Open- with it's teak hardwood, separate stall shower, full service galley, and berths for four- is attractively finished and easily suited for family cruising. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, doublewide helm and companion seats, wide side decks, and a well arranged helm console. Among many gas and diesel engine options, twin 420hp Cat diesels cruise at 26-27 knots.
