Through the companionway is the spacious main salon with a spacious L-shaped dinette to port and an L-shaped settee and navigation center to starboard. Warm, traditional teak joinery is everywhere and shines like new. Large wrap-around windows keep the living spaces bright, and the exceptional headroom will make any tall sailor smile. The oversize navigation area has all the equipment needed to safely navigate away from the helm and plenty of space to double as your office away from home.
Forward of the main salon is the guest suite featuring a roomy double berth, a third stateroom with stacked bunks and a head with separate shower. This third stateroom is rare and highly coveted as it can easily double as storage or even a workshop area when not needed for guests.
Aft is the master cabin, equipped with a large double bunk on centerline, a private head and stand-up shower stall, a hanging locker, and plenty of storage space. Several opening ports provide exceptional light and ventilation.
Argonaut has a spacious and well equipped galley that any chef would be excited about. Corian counter tops provide plenty of work space and several cabinets offer generous storage for all of your gadgets and provisions.
The Tayana 48 was designed to produce a boat that would outperform the competition in its size range in both boat speed and interior volume, while using quality materials and the best craftsman. The result is an unbelieveably practical and sturdy boat that can withstand whatever lay ahead.
On deck, substantial teak toe rails combine with 32-inch-tall lifelines and sturdy stanchions to provide a secure feeling under way. Strategically placed grab rails and a S/S mast pulpit add to the safety and ease of movement in rough seas. Even the ground-tackle system is outstanding, with two hefty bow rollers and a powerful windlass to make it easy to set and raise the hook. The high center cockpit is comfortable and dry, and provides excellent visibility to what lies ahead.
The mast on Argonaut is positioned more forward, creating a rig that is well balanced and manageable in strong winds. All lines are led aft to the cockpit and the winches are over sized and abundant. The fully enclosed cockpit keeps the captain protected and comfortable no matter the weather.
