This Melonseed was custom-built by Gig Harbor Boat Works to reinforce the sailing attributes of Gig Harbor's basic design by providing a pivoting/pull-up centerboard in place of the design's usual daggerboard while replacing the standard two sliding rowing seats with a single fixed thwart midships to provide more cockpit floor space. This makes it unique even among Melonseeds --
