Viking launched another impressive addition to their stable of tournament contenders, the 52 Convertible with a choice of MAN V8 and V12 engine packages.
The resin infused hull includes end-grain balsa coring, Kevlar and fiberglass laminates. The deckhouse assembly stretches from the pulpit to the inner transom; they have shed weight by incorporating the outer walls and floor, lower port bunk, sink base and shower pans as well as the forward starboard bunk base into a molded fiberglass forepeak liner forward of the engine room.
The forward entry is sharpened to knife through head seas as well as having a convex hull shape with molded strakes on the bottom adding buoyancy and providing lift for planing efficacy.
The three-stateroom, two head layout features a master stateroom with a walk-around queen with a private head and shower; port stateroom with upper and lower berths and a choice of layouts for the bow stateroom. All staterooms have ample stowage with maple-lined hanging lockers, credenzas and deep drawer sapce as well as beneath each bunk.
The salon is well proportioned for relaxation and entertainment with L-shaped lounge, home theater system, dinette and L-shaped galley with an island fronted with bar stools.
The 142 square-foot cockpit offers convenience and comfort of their exclusive observation mezzanine with the flying bridge showcasing their exclusive center console helm station arrangement with flanking lounges and forward seating.
